Manta Ray

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.

The Manta Ray is the largest of all species of rays, up to 30 feet wide and weighing nearly 3 tons! Manta Ray lives in tropical waters, often not far from coral reefs. What characterizes this planctivorous creature is that he is quite peaceful and harmless, he has two large fins or "wings". His black back contrasts with his white belly on which are arranged 5 pairs of gills. He has in front of the head, 2 impressive horns which earned him the name of "devil of the seas". They are filter feeders and eat large quantities of zooplankton. Particularly graceful, the Manta Ray evolves in groups of a few individuals and sometimes is approached by divers.
